About

Hi, I am Milvia Romici, and welcome to MiRo Design Studio.

I am a visual artist with a specialty in medical & scientific illustrations.

With 20+ years of work experience, I have worked (both in-house and freelance) with various academic publishers in the UK, including Elsevier Science and The Lancet Publishing Journals. After moving to New Zealand, I have been providing freelance work to institutions including the Auckland Museum and Auckland University.

Over the years, I have learned to understand my client’s needs and, through my knowledge of principles of design and illustration, I help to break down complex information into a design that communicates well and is more approachable.

I take pride in always pushing for the best visual solution with an accurate, clean and accessible design. Selected projects pdf and cv are available on request.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
